How God Cares
31/12/14 13:27
Can the God who created this vast universe be in any way interested in the small, insignificant details of our personal lives?
First, what could be more insignificant than the number of hairs on one's head? Yet Jesus said “the very hairs of your head are all numbered”! Matthew 10.30.
Second, does God take the slightest notice of our insignificant thoughts? Yes, and here's why - he is ready to build on them. He wants “to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we . . . think”! Ephesians 3.20.
Third, does God take the slightest notice of our smallest requests? Yes, and this too is because from that modest platform he aims “to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask”! Ephesians 3.20.
Fourth, what about the unbeliever's thoughts? Here, too, Jesus is keenly interested. He is watching for the moment when someone reconsiders their rejection of God. Jesus looks for any small window of opportunity to reach out to that person. “Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through him.” Hebrews 7.25.
Perhaps God's greatness is seen as much in life's small things as in the magnificence and grandeur of his mighty Creation.

Our life is an open book. “Nothing is hidden from God!” Hebrews 4.13 (The Bible for Today).
